The Paul Lincke Ring is awarded every two years in honour of the great operetta composer to a significant representative of German light music. Lincke, who was born and lived in Berlin, was buried in the cemetery in Hahnenklee in 1946.
The gold Paul Lincke Ring was designed by the goldsmiths Willi and Magdalena Blomquist. It bears Paul Lincke’s initials and is decorated with a lyre enfolded by a branch of laurel. The previous recipients of the ring are:
The Paul Lincke Ring was firstly awarded in 1955 by Hahnenklee-Bockswiese. Since local government reorganisation in 1972, the prize is bestowed by Goslar Corporation. |
